All is happy at Belmont when the players assemble together. The comedy unfolds with both women scolding the men for the loss of their wedding rings but reveals the truth soon after among much camaraderie between the entire group. However, Gratiano and Bassanio are sheepishly embarrassed at the inability to recognize their wives.
