Sita Warrior of Mithila by Amish Tripathi, a research before the release

The upcoming book “Sita Warrior of Mithila” written by Amish Tripathi is going to release on 29th May 2017. It is the second book in the series of Ram Chandra, the first being “Scion of Ishvaku” which was a blockbuster of 2015. Amish Tripathi has the credibility to combine mythology, philosophy, mystery and give a new flavor to Indian fiction. The story of the book is based on Sita’s life from the time of her birth till she was kidnapped by Ravana. The author informed that the book “Sita Warrior of Mithila” is a story about Sita but still it is “not written in her perspective”.

Why Sita Warrior of Mithila?

The title of the book is catchy because Sita in mythology is shown as a devoted wife and none of her deeds justifies her as a warrior. According to the author, he has portrayed Sita as a strong woman, and for him, strength doesn’t necessarily mean physical strength. The story displays the mental strength of Sita and her ability to stand and face challenges.

Amish Tripathi disclosed that the Ram Chandra series has five books in it and the first three of the series are the story of Ram, Sita, and Ravana from the time of their birth till the incident of Sita being abducted. The story of “Sita Warrior of Mithila” has the well-known mythological characters like Ram Chandra, Lakshman, Hanuman etc.

The book has made a buzz in the literature & fiction category and is priced at 240 INR. It is worth reading as we can see the character of Sita from a very different perspective. We will also discover through the book, the true purpose of the Vayuputras and Malayaputras. I recommend this book to people who are interested in Indian mythology, especially in the story of Ramayana.
