The dialogue “In my minds eye” was used in Hamlet, in Act 1, scene 2. The idea of having eye in the mind is also used by Chaucer in 14th century. “The man of Law’s tale”. But the term became popular in Shakespeare’s work, in the conversation between Horatio and Hamlet, where Hamlet says that, he sees his father in his mind’s eye.
