Neither a borrower nor a lender be

The dialogue “Neither a borrower nor a lender be, For loan oft losses both itself and friend.” was used in Shakespeare’s play Hamlet in ACT -1 scene 3. It was said by Polonius to his son Lacrtes. You may use this Shakespeare quote, when you want to say that the borrowing and lending shouldn’t happen in between friends.
